Assalam Alaykum Brothers and Sisters,Majlis for this Saturday 16th January
Maghrib prayers will be held at 8.30pm, there will separate majlis for ladies and men, beginning at the same time after namaz.
Sheikh Idrees will recite for men; ladies’ majlis will be of Bibi Sakina.
Niyaaz will be served after majlis.
Children’s Majlis During First Ten Nights of Muharram
About 50-60 children gathered every night during the first ten nights of Muharram for their own session of speeches in English, while the adult Urdu lecture was being conducted.
Special thanks goes to Sister Zarina Hassan, wife of Sheikh Idrees, who presented a lecture to the children each night, on various topics relevant to daily life, including the importance of salat, and hijab.
Thank you to the following children who took the time and effort to prepare and present short speeches on the various personalities who were present in Kerbala. Inshallah your efforts will be rewarded by Allah. Please take time to read their speeches, some of which are on the noticeboards in the foyer.

Particularly impressive and confident in their delivery were Zahra Nijati, Samana Abbas, Ali Scheiwani, Dua Kashany, Aaminah Aly and Musa Khan. Keep up the good work!
Pre-schoolers Muhammad Nijati and Meisam and Daanish Awaz also participated by reciting verses from the Quran before the speeches.
Inshallah, the children gained something of the spirit of the young martyrs of Kerbala during this form of Azadari, which they can keep with them throughout the year.

If you have any family or friends who would like to enroll their children this year, please fill out a registration form now, before Term 1 begins. This will make it easier to allocate the child/ren to the correct class, according to age and ability. Forms can be collected from Brother Baqir Raza, or Sister Zohra Aly.
Term 1 will begin on Saturday 13th February 2010.
