Janab Naseer Turabi s/o Allama Rasheed Turabi

Sunday 10th January 2021

Pakistan

The Turabi name is widely recognised globally for their contribution to the Shia Muslim community. Starting with the renowned scholar Allama Rasheed Turabi who made a huge impact on communities across the globe from India to Zanzibar.

Janab Naseer Turabi continued the tradition of scholarly service to Shia Muslim Community with his writings and his first collection of Poetry Aks-e-Faryadi was published in 2000.

After the East Pakistan Separation, he wrote a Ghazal “Woh Humsafar Tha ” expressing the sadness at the great tragedy of separation of East Pakistan.

Janab Naseer Turabi visited Imam Hasan Centre and recited his poetry at the Muhammadi Welfare Association fund raiser in 2017 held at Imam Hasan Centre. Imam Hasan Center has also been privileged to have Dr Salman Turabi and Br. Yasir Turabi also visiting and presenting at Imam Hasan Centre.

On behalf of the Imam Hasan Centre Community we have passed on our sincere condolences to the Family.
