Imam Hasan School News
Term 1 for 2010 has begun. We will not be taking any more new admissions.
Classes begin at 5pm sharp and will finish at maghrib time for this term. Please make sure you allow the children to pray their namaz with their class group before you take them home. Parents, please give your child/ren a bag with sharpened pencils and stationery. They must bring their books every week.
Some registration forms have not been returned yet either, please bring these back so Admin can be completed. Thank you to all those parents who have already paid for the books and the fees.
Special text books have been prepared for the children this year. The charge is $30 per student for the two books (Let’s Read Quran, and Islamic Studies). The payment may be made whole, or in installments, please discuss with Br Damji/Br Baqir.
All the textbooks are now ready, and will be distributed to the students accordingly. Thank you for your patience. However, the task of compiling, editing, and printing the textbooks has been time-consuming and laborious, and took longer than planned, as we wanted to ensure the best product possible was printed for our students.
This is the first time we have produced texts of this quality, within a short time frame. Any errors that have been overlooked will be corrected in class, and we will try and ensure the next print is better. Any feedback on the Textbooks is welcome.
May Allah reward those who have put in many hours of work into preparing the texts.
Please look after these books carefully, as they are to be used for the whole year. Please cover the books, with clear contact if possible, to keep them in good condition.

Parent-TeParent-Teacher Meeting on Saturday 13th March
All parents are requested to attend a meeting on Saturday the 13th of March, as follows:
For parents of students in Classes KG –Class 4 in Hall 1 from 5.00pm till 5.30pm
For parents of students in Classes 5-Senior B/G in Hall 2 from 6.00pm till 6.20pm
Notes were sent out last week with the children. Please confirm your attendance with your child/ren’s class teacher.
The meeting is intended as a general welcome and introduction to Imam Hasan School, as well as an opportunity for the teachers to explain directly to the parents about the new textbooks, and hand them out to the parents( for younger classes). Also, to discuss expectations from the parents and students for the year to come.
We are also hoping to create an email list of parents, so we are able to send parents Imam Hasan
School Updates via email. This list is being set up, and hopefully will be up and running soon. If you
have not submitted an email address yet, please do so.
The Snack Roster has started, with a few small changes. Sis Sanober Reshty will inform you of
your turn two weeks in advance. This year, we have decided not to start at surnames with A and end
with Z.
Instead, we will begin in the middle of the alphabetical list.
